This shall be sort of a FAQ about special cards ...

What does Dry Mounted (DMT) mean?
This is a labour-intensive technique to bond thin card faces and backs using a so called dry mount tissue (photographers use this too) with the help of heat. While using rubber cement is a very good way to glue cards, the crispness of a fresh card gets lost.
Not when using DMT: the snap, the feel is exactly the same as with any new regular card. The materials used are a bit more expensive than rubber cement, but it is worth the result!

How can I make my custom made gaffs last longer?
Keep your cards flat when not in use!
The best place to keep your gaffs is within the middle of a boxed deck of cards, filled up with extra 4 to 5 cards (use the advertising cards of any regular deck of cards!) to make a tight fit.

And not only for gaffed cards...
Wash your hands before playing cards!
I am serious ;-)
You can also polish your cards edges: they will feel better and it helps to avoid to get dirty that quick. All you need is one of the cheap nail files from your drugstore. The one with the 3 colored sides: white, pink and grey. Take your fresh deck of cards and go along its 4 edges with the pink side of the file and gently file. Done.

Help! The white border on the back is misaligned.
Well, this is a very wellknown problem of the USPCC itself. Cards are printed in sheets of 54 cards. Then they are diecut. If the back of YOUR card is misaligned, please refer to USPCC and their quality control....

If you have some interesting info about cards too; just let me know. I might add it here.
